A micro-entrepreneurial initiative of @uxilia provides the materials and training for Syrian women to make and sell scarves to make money for their families.  These “love scarves” provides both a way to support their families while escaping the tight restrictions on their role in Syrian society.  Women there traditionally have a very restricted role, but when they contribute to the financial well-being of their families they are treated with greater respect.  This makes the scarf both an economic boon and a path to a better life.
